By a railroader
Built inside the hobby, not pitched at it. Designed by someone who actually lays track.
Locodex is a small ecosystem of tools for model railroaders, built by someone in the hobby rather than pitched at it from the outside. Two apps, one account: a precision track planner and a reference encyclopedia.
The guiding idea is old-fashioned on purpose. You pay once for what exists, and optional upgrades cover what's genuinely new — the way software worked before everything became a subscription trap. The planner is free and fully offline; paying only ever adds cloud sync or permanent ownership of the advanced modules.
Whatever you make is yours: local files in open formats, nothing important locked behind a login, everything working on the bench, on the train, or off the grid entirely.
